Today’s word is: triumph. Would you like to know what it means?  It means:  a significant victory or achievement, to win, to be successful, joy or satisfaction due to a victory

The word triumph indicates a victory achieved by putting in lot of efforts and the happiness associated with it.

For example: Quitting smoking has been a personal triumph for him.

Example number 1 of 8:  The team from a developing country was considered incompetent low by the experts. But, to everyone’s surprise, it triumphed over more experienced rivals.

Example number 2 of 8:  Last year, Vinaya attempted to travel across the country on a motorbike. However, she had to stop halfway due to ill health. Nevertheless, this year she persevered and completed the entire journey. Everyone congratulated her on her triumph. 

Example number 3 of 8:  The story of Anagha’s triumph went viral on social media. The uniqueness about her achievement was that she and her daughter both appeared for the Higher Secondary examination and both passed with flying colours.

Example number 4 of 8:  Stephen raised the trophy in triumph. His eyes were filled with tears and in his speech he remembered his father who recently passed away.   

Example number 5 of 8: The supporters of peace always oppose any form of war. They

strongly believe that no matter which country triumphs in a war, the population of both sides suffers huge damages.

Example number 6 of 8: Edward had cramps in his legs during the tennis match and the match had to be stopped for a while. When the match resumed, he played flawlessly and won the game. The crowd applauded and Edward did a little dance of triumph.

Example number 7 of 8:  The religious books contain stories of triumph of good over evil. These are symbolic stories inspiring the readers to live their life with virtues like courage, honesty and kindness.

Example number 8 of 8: The design of the museum is a triumph of collaboration between the architects and historians. They have meticulously worked over last two years to prepare this impeccable blueprint.
