Today’s word is: coherent. The meaning of coherent is: logical and consistent; clear and reasonable, orderly

The word coherent means something which is logically acceptable and reasonable.

For example: The judge asked the advocate to present coherent arguments to defend the accused.

Listen carefully how we can use the word coherent in 8 different situations in 8 different sentences.

Example number 1 of 8:  The team had a bunch of talented players, but they would often argue with each other. The coach held a meeting and encouraged them to form a coherent thought process to achieve the desired success.

Example number 2 of 8:  Recently, many Telecom companies announced several discount schemes for internet access. This led to confusion in the minds of customers. To resolve this issue, the ministry of telecommunications drafted a coherent policy for internet charges.

Example number 3 of 8:   Mark would often struggle to have a coherent conversation. His parents took him to a specialist for diagnosis. On observing him, The doctors suspected some abnormality with his brain function and asked them to get a scan done.

Example number 4 of 8:  The state and central government had different views on sharing the tax revenue and there was no consensus for a long time. Finally, a commission was appointed to define a coherent formula.

Example number 5 of 8:  The bicycle manufacturer company set a target to boost profitability. However, the plans of action prepared by different departments were contradictory. Therefore, the managing director intervened and prepared a coherent strategy.

Example number 6 of 8:  The journalist setup a telephonic interview with an aging (means old) actor. But, the actor was unable to speak coherently on the phone. Hence, the journalist decided to meet him in person.

Example number 7 of 8:  The principal observed that the students were losing focus due to wide range of academic and extra-curricular activities happening throughout the year. Therefore, he setup a committee to prepare a coherent schedule for all activities.

Example number 8 of 8: Mr. Craig held a trial show of his thriller movie for a select audience. The response of the audience was not so good. This is because the general opinion was that the film did not have a coherent storyline.
