Today’s word is: mundane. Mundane means: ordinary, not interesting, routine, relating to practical matters of this world.

For example:  The boss announced an office picnic to take a break from the mundane work schedule.

Example number 1 of 8:  Shikha had an extremely busy schedule. One day, while surfing the net, she came across an app that allows you to schedule various mundane tasks like bill payments. She found it very convenient and downloaded the app.

Example number 2 of 8:  At the annual gathering of the company, the factory workers enacted a play about their mundane life. This made management introspect about the same and they decided to implement better facilities for the workers.

Example number 3 of 8:  The profitability of the company was deteriorating for the last three quarters. Therefore, the board of directors asked the CEO to focus on innovative strategies and delegate the mundane work to his subordinates.

Example number 4 of 8:  Japan has made huge progress in the field of robotics. The technology developed by them allows robots to carry out many mundane tasks which are presently done by humans. 

Example number 5 of 8:  The principal of the technical institute held a meeting with the teaching staff. In this meeting, he encouraged them to replace mundane teaching methods with innovative ones. He requested them to present their ideas for this in the next meeting.

Example number 6 of 8:   Khushi’s husband was transferred to a small town. Initially, she found the life there to be very mundane. However, soon, she made friends with her neighbours and enrolled for many social activities. This helped her to change her perspective and she was happy.

Example number 7 of 8:  The spiritual leader decided to devote more time for meditating and

giving lectures on religious matters. Therefore, he formed a team of members who will manage all mundane matters related to their organisation.

Example number 8 of 8: Many readers all over the world recognize Sherlock Holmes as one of the greatest private detectives in literature. His speciality in solving any crime was to ignore the mundane issues and focus on something strange or unique.
